The Validator®, named after its unique ability to validate business processes, is a revolutionary and innovative new concept allowing Enterprises to track business transactions online as they flow through the business processes and validate that their varied outputs match the business logic defined by the Enterprise.
Valire's core product, the Validator, provides a true business control over an ERP system. It processes business events in real-time through a pre-defined set of business validation rules (BVRs). The detected flaws are either transmitted in real-time as alerts to business users so they can take preventative actions immediately; or can be aggregated in various types of reports and transmitted to project team members during the ERP project phase, or to business management personnel during the production phase.
The Validator® is based on two concepts: an End-to-end ERP process monitoring, and a technology that enables users to represent their enterprise’s business logic comprehensively through a set of business validation rules.
End-to-end process monitoring – The Validator® works by obtaining business event inputs and outputs online and running them through a process validation engine. The system examines the ERP business outputs, such as delivery documents, invoices, general ledger listings, compares them to ERP business inputs, such as sales orders, stock entry and alerts users on any abnormal behavior it finds. The Validator's ability to detect business problems by monitoring the edges of the ERP system results in a powerful but easy- to-implement solution, that minimizes the worries and risks associated with deploying complex business processes.
The Validator guarantees that you will always get an answer to questions such as: “Will our delivery quantities and timing match the conditions of the sales order commitment?”, or “Will our printed invoices correspond with sales and delivery orders?”and “Will all of our transactions be logged correctly into our financial system?”
Business logic representation - Every organization has its own business logic that serves as a framework for its business processes. This business logic is broken down into business rules, for instance: “No sales tax should be applied to products sold out-of-state!”. The business rules define the expected results of each business process under certain conditions. In ERP applications, business rules are translated into Business Validation Rules (BVRs) for use as testing criteria throughout the end-to-end monitoring process. For example, the BVR for the above business rule will be: “When customer address in sales order is out-of-state, expect sales tax to be zero in invoice”. Valire’s unique technology ensures that proper usage of business validation rules will enable detection of business related errors in ERP deployment.
Validator® can be used with any business process and is capable of detecting the following problem types:
The Validator ensures the integrity of your outputs both in the lab and in your operational environment.
